COMPANY HISTORY
Pemco Lighting Products, a QSSI Company, specializes in custom fabrication, machining and finishing for the lighting industry as well as other industries such as: electronics, medical, and electronic surveillance. The expertise used to make and finish a wide variety of precision parts is used to produce specification grade lighting fixtures, poles and many site accessories.
Pemco Lighting Products has been designing and manufacturing high quality lighting fixtures, poles, and accessories for over one hundred and thirty-seven years. The company was first started as “The Philadelphia Electrical Manufacturing Company” – “PEMCO” – in 1882 and for over 100 years was a diverse manufacturer of a broad range of lighting fixtures and poles, for both indoor and outdoor use.
In 1993, the assets were sold and a new corporation was formed with its headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. For the past 25 years, products have been redesigned and upgraded to meet today’s standards in efficiency, design integrity, and quality. Also, during this same period, many products that were popular in the 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s have been reintroduced with modern lighting sources, superior finishes and UL/ETL/CSA listings. Old iron castings are now replaced with aluminum, new optical systems have replaced inefficient ones, and we now offer contemporary, traditional, and vintage products.
With the re-introduction of many traditional and vintage products containing authentic design, Pemco offers one of the largest selections available from one manufacturer. As in the past, Pemco Lighting Products is committed to providing architects and engineers with specific design solutions for special or custom projects.
